GAFPA a été fondé en 2008 par les architectes Floris De Bruyn (1982), Philippe De Berlangeer (1980) et Frederick Verschueren (1980). Ce cabinet d'architectes gantois est réputé pour son approche pragmatique. Ils déconstruisent un contexte existant et le transforment en une nouvelle réalité. Cette méthode de déconstruction systématique donne lieu à de nouvelles interprétations de l'architecture, un vocabulaire qui leur est propre.
GAFPA intervient à différents niveaux, allant de la maison individuelle aux bâtiments publics, des opérations d'urbanisme à la scénographie. Ce cabinet multidisciplinaire ne se limite pas aux projets de construction de logements, mais participe régulièrement à des concours internationaux.
